Join the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), in conjunction with Kesher, for "Advocating for your Student: Recognizing and Responding to Antisemitism in the Schools" Guest Speaker: Gabe Ivker, a Birmingham native and Southwest High School Regional Manager for StandWithUs A two-part program designed to provide parents with an understanding of antisemitism and its manifestations in today’s world, specifically within middle and high schools. Additionally, the program will provide valuable insights and resources on effectively engaging in conversations with your child about antisemitism and procedures to follow in the event of an incident in their school.  Parents are also invited to attend the student session at the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School with Kesher. All 6th- 12th grade students are invited to attend – students need not be enrolled in Kesher. Students will have the opportunity to talk openly and, with Gabe’s direction, leave with the tools and resources to feel confident in their ability to handle any difficult antisemitic situation they are confronted with.(function(d, s) { var js, el = d.getElementsByTagName(s); window.BB_REG_FORM_ID = "0183741e-de36-436d-9e8b-efd38747f4b2"; window.BB_REG_FORM_ENVIRONMENT_ID = "p-6y7bAPB6cE6nVgL2Gevslw"; window.BB_REG_FORM_HEADER_HEIGHT = 0; // If your page has a header/overlay, then you can set this value to your header height so that the […]
