Workshop will be followed by our regular Friday evening Kabbalat Shabbat service that begins at 5:45 p.m. After the service, we invite you to a chicken pot pie dinner. Registration is required for dinner and seats are limited. Register here. The choir will be joining us for dinner, as well as two out-of-state groups visiting us as part of the Beth El Civil Rights Experience. The celebration continues at our Saturday morning Shabbat services, beginning at 9:30 a.m., during which we will honor donors, docents, committee members and others who have brought the Civil Rights Experience to life. Prayer Gathering for the Release of Captives – TEE

Temple Emanu-El 2100 Highland Ave, Birmingham

It is a custom in Judaism to pray for the release of captives. On Friday evenings, we will gather in the Hess Chapel to read the over 200 names we have of those being held since October 7, and offer a prayer for their release. All are welcome.
