Friendly Visitor Training
CJFS 3940 Montclair Rd #205, Birmingham, Alabama, United StatesBring a bag lunch* & join CJFS for a our first Friendly Visitor training on May 28 . If you are unable to attend, contact Caleigh to schedule a training. Friendly visitors are trained volunteers who provide social, uplifting visits to local senior living facilities, homebound or hospitalized community members. Who can volunteer? Adults, teens, and/or children, accompanied by parent or adult Friendly visitor opportunities: Visit 1x a month or more, very flexible. Join other volunteers to play games, create art, storytelling and more. If you or someone you know of would like to receive a friendly visitor, please contact Caleigh at caleigh@cjfsbham.org. CJFS SPACE Therapy Group
CJFS 3940 Montclair Rd #205, Birmingham, Alabama, United StatesParenting Your Anxious Child--An 8-week, interactive workshop for Parents SPACE, an evidence-based parenting program developed at the Yale Child Study Center, teaches parents tools and strategies to respond supportively to their child, helping to decrease their anxiety. CJFS licensed, clinical social worker, Amy Neiman, has trained with Yale’s program creator and will facilitate the group.
