We will enter the lives and hearts of the women of the Bible, using their own words and emotions. We will learn from their struggles as we celebrate their successes.
It is a custom in Judaism to pray for the release of captives. On Friday evenings, we will gather in the Hess Chapel to read the over 200 names we have of those being held since October 7, and offer a prayer for their release. All are welcome.

Join us for our new once-a-month Shabbat morning experience at Temple Emanu-El, Love, Pray, & Eat! The Rabbi &/or Cantor will lead this casual Saturday morning service focusing on lessons from the Torah. Our worship will be interactive, engaging, and uplifting. These lecture series will analyze how Rabbinic, Normative and Contemporary Judaism understand the biblical major and minor prophets compared to how New Testament writers understood them in the first century. Classes will focus on the following themes: Biblical Prophets: Purpose and Canonization Prophets: Fortune Teller or Moral Compass? Prophets: Cantankerous or Perpetual Spiritual Sufferers? New Testament Writers: True Believers of Biblical Prophets or Exegetical Masters? Prophetic Literature and Liturgy Class led by Rabbi Wright, taught at Independent Presbyterian Church.
