BJF Young Leadership Mentorship Program

Announcing the BJF Young Leadership Mentorship Program
___________________________________________________

The Birmingham Jewish Federation is committed to helping our young leaders thrive in our community. Alongside our year long leadership development program, we are offering further opportunities for young leaders to learn from others to increase their leadership skills and community connections.

In Spring 2026, we are launching the Young Leadership Mentorship Program, which matches members of the Young Leadership Program with mentors from prior cohorts as well as community lay leaders.

Members of the 2024-2025 cohort can apply to be paired with a mentor, while members of the 2022-2023 cohort can apply to mentor someone from the recent cohort, receive a mentor from the community, or both.

Each leadership class participant has the opportunity to be paired with a senior mentor. We will work with participants to identify specific areas in which they wish to grow. We then search our network to find the best possible match based on skill-set, life experiences, and personality.

As a continuation of the Young Leadership Program, mentees will gain further insight and knowledge into being a leader in the Birmingham Jewish community by learning from the experiences of other seasoned leaders.
