After the short documentaries\, Alabama Rivers Alliance will lead a talk back.\nAbout the films:\n\nHyperscaled exposes the hidden environmental and community costs of rapidly expanding data centers and AI infrastructure\, focusing on the strain on water and energy resources in the Southeast.\n\nThe River’s Gift offers a quieter\, healing story of veterans finding connection and restoration through the Tallapoosa River and the natural community it sustains.\n\n Salabama invites us underground into the fascinating world of Alabama’s salamanders\, revealing the beauty and fragility of often-overlooked ecosystems.\n\nSOUTHERN EXPOSURE is a film fellowship program actively raising awareness about Alabama’s incredible natural resources and important environmental issues that impact all of us. This innovative summer fellowship brings emerging filmmakers from across the country to tell authentic\, engaging stories through short documentary films about Alabama’s environment and the people who cherish it ? from the mountains to the coast. The program is led by the Alabama Rivers Alliance each year.
