Stopping antisemitism starts with understanding it. In recent years we have witnessed an alarming upward trend in incidents of antisemitism. . Acts of violence against Jews and Jewish institutions, the persistence of antisemitic beliefs about Jewish power and the rise of hate speech that traffics in antisemitic rhetoric and conspiracy theories are all indications of persistent and rising antisemitism. The JCRC & LJCC will bring in an expert to give an “Antisemitism 101” to the broader community, including the most commonly accepted definitions of antisemitism, how antisemitism has evolved over time, and how it is manifested today. Included will be action steps participants can take to fight against antisemitism.
