Birmingham Volunteering Mission to Israel

February 4th- February 8th, 2024

**Registration is due by 12/31/23**

-Price per participant based on double occupancy and 28 attendees: $2,999

-Single Supplement for those traveling solo and not sharing a room: $1,000 (total: $3,999)

-Deposit: $1,000 due at registration with full amount due once trip is confirmed

Please Note – we must have 28 attendees to operate this mission. If we do not have by December 31 we will not execute on this programming and the deposit will be returned.

 

Flight options for those looking to travel as a group will be sent out the week of January 1st if the mission proceeds.

Itinerary

 

Sunday, February 4

-Arrival/Welcome Arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport in the late afternoon.
-Drive to Jerusalem.
-Check into David Citadel Hotel Jerusalem.
-Orientation Dinner and speaker at hotel.

Monday, February 5

-Breakfast at the hotel. 
-Agriculture- Travel to a local farm for fruit and vegetable harvesting. Engage in picking, weeding, sorting, and packing produce. Boxed lunch on-site.
-Visit to hospital- deliver packed supply.
-Dinner and speaker at a local restaurant

Tuesday, February 6

-IDF Volunteerism Breakfast at the hotel.
-Volunteer with Sar-El at an army base and contribute to the security of Israel by offering logistical support to soldiers in the field.
-Lunch at the Army base
-Return to Jerusalem.
-Dinner – At dinner, you will be joined by lone soldiers or a subject matter expert on the current situation.

Wednesday, February 7

-Breakfast at the hotel.
-Visit The Civil War Room, an entirely voluntary organization that responds to the needs of residents and soldiers. Help Achim BaNeshek to pack essentials for soldiers.
-Visit Eran’s Angels organization for volunteer activities, including helping with local community projects, assisting in organizational tasks, or engaging with beneficiaries.
-Drive to Jerusalem
-Dinner at the hotel and hear from a speaker journalist on the status of the hostages and the Gaza situation.

Thursday, February 8

-Farewell Breakfast at hotel.
– Visit Kibutz Kfar Aza or Nir Oz
-Volunteer with Operation Lifeshield
-Drive to Tel Aviv 
-Visit Kikar HaChatufim (the square of the kidnapped)
-Farewell Dinner
-Departure

General Inclusions

 

✓ Five overnights at the David Citadel Hotel Jerusalem, breakfast at the hotel daily, portage service and activity room for program opening session

✓ Travel by air-conditioned bus daily for up to 12 hours per day

✓ Logistical coordinator attached to the group (plus associated costs) ✓ A licensed tour guide is attached to the group (plus associated costs)

✓ Full support by the Head of Operations at IE

✓ Security guard throughout the program, plus associated costs

✓ Full coordination with “Chadar Matzav” of the SPNI to ensure the highest security service for the group

✓ Airport VIP assistance upon arrival and departure
